On 7-10 of February, 2006, in Moscow in the 6-th time has taken place the Salon of innovations and investment.

The Federal and regional authorities, departments, funds and organizations of Russia took part in it, as well as the representatives from some countries of the near and far abroad. There was a delegation from Belarus among these. At the exhibition the collective stand of the Committee on Science and Technologies of the Repulic of Belarus has been submitted. At this stand the exhibits were shown also by the representatives of the Ministry of Education: Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Belarusian-Russian University, Polotsk State University, Gomel State University, Gomel State Technical University, Belarusian State University of Transport, Brest State Technical University, «Technopark of BNTU "Metolit".

The program of the Salon was traditional: the exhibition with the competitive program (within the framework of the VI-th Moscow International Salon of innovations and investment the competition of inventions and innovative developments was carried out), as well as the different seminars.

43 exhibits have been selected from the brought exhibits for the competitive program, 3 exhibits participated in competition of trade marks.

The general result of the competition of the innovative developments and inventions was the following: 21 medals of various denomination and diplomas, 22 diplomas and the diploma of competition for the best trade mark, which was received by the laboratory of measuring technical equipment of the millimeter range of wave. (MWMLAB).

At the ceremonial opening of Salon took part the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation A. Fursenko, Executive secretary of the CIS-countries V. Rushailo. They have familiarized with the exposition of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.

The events accompanied the exhibition work have been organized as the following thematic blocks:
- problems and prospects of financial maintenance of innovative development,
- regional innovative systems: problems of formation and interaction,
- development of innovative infrastructure,
- international innovative cooperation,
- perspective directions of technological development (biotechnologies).

Apparently from the subjects, the basic attention has been given to questions of functioning of innovative system as a whole.
