CeBIT 2004 (Hannover, 18-24, March, 2004). Report.
There was shown for the first time the national exposition of the Republic of Belarus on the exhibition CEBIT this year. There was stated the purpose to show all parties of development of the information-communication industry in the republic.
The exposition consisted of 4 sections:
SECTION_1 included scientific-research and educational sector, where there were shown:
Committee for Science and Technologies of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus
Belarusian State University
Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics
Scientific-technological park "Metolit" at BNTU
Gomel State University named after F.Skaryna
Main information-analytical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus
Institute of Problems of Informatics
National Center of Information Resources and Technologies
National Center of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus
Fund of Informatization of the Republic of Belarus
SECTION_2 included organizations working in the information industry and rendering services in production of equipment and components:
"Belmicrosystems" research design-technology republican unitary enterprise
"Integral" science and production association
"RI ECM" scientific-research institute
SECTION_3 included producers of software and services:
"BelHard Group" closed joint-stock company
"Orientsoft" Ltd
"System technologies" foreign unitary manufacture and trade enterprise
"EPAM Systems" foreign unitary production and commercial enterprise
"National infopark" scientific-technological association
SECTION_4 included national information infrastructure:
"Beltelekom" republican state affiliation
"Mobile Telesystems" Ltd
"Mobile digital communication" joint venture
On March, 18 in the National press centre of the Republic of Belarus (Octiabrskaja str., 5) took place the press-conference dated to discovering a national stand of the Republic of Belarus on the exhibition CeBIT-2004. With its press release it is possible to acquaint on the site of "Beltelecom" company . In this press release the information about the introduced on the exhibition developments is also given.
As a whole it will be possible to judge results of the exhibition some later, as the preliminary meetings and negotiations need a lot of time for their study.
Last year in the report on the exhibition CEBIT-2003, published on the portal icm.by the notices and wishes in according with preparation and organization of the collective exposition were pronounced:
the more active advertising policy is required, that includes the preliminary search of the partners (market analysis) and wide contribution of information in the specialized sources,
- the open competition choice of exhibitors is needed,
-
the stand should be better prepared from the point of view of negotiations.
From our point of view it is possible to notice improvement of a situation only on the third point. The layout of the stand was improved, where the optimum combination of workstations, rooms for negotiations and auxiliary rooms were realized. Also it is necessary to notice organization on the stand of access to Internet, that has allowed to demonstrate some developments in on-line regime.
At the same time the first two points were not realized because of not enough time for the exposition's preparation. This reduce efficiency of participation of organizations in the exhibition.
