Hannover Messe (April, 7-12, 2003). Report.

On 7-12 of April 2003 in Hannover took place the industrial exhibition. It is the biggest world universal fair.

The main directions on the fair are the following: Factory Automation; MicroTechnology; Motion, Drive&Automation; Energy; Compressed Air&Vacuum Technology; Factory Equipment&Tools; Subcontracting; Research&Technology. The last direction was placed in the hall 18 as usually.

In this hall was represented the collective stand of the Committee for Science and Technologies of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. Here their developments have demonstrated representatives of the Ministry of Education and National Academy of Sciences. The big part of the hall occupied the range of German organizations, which worked in the framework of association "Tech Transfer". For example, the research center of Julich has represented the innovation Internet-platform, which was oriented on providing of real technological transfer into production. In the stand of the Julich center worked the Belarusian Interuniversity Center of Marketing. It represented the joint work in the area of technological transfer's support, as well as results of some projects with participation of German and Belarusian organizations.

The first impression about the fair is following: it mirrors exactly all the processes taking place in the modern economy development. Economic recession in Europe caused the reduction of amount of fair visitors and absence of garish advertising in the city. For example, the day before opening in Hanover it was fast impossible to notice some preparations to the starting for tomorrow fair. By negotiations the pragmatism of participants was remarkable, their business-like manner and concreteness. A lot of businessmen mentioned the reduction of buying activity.

The main work results of organizations of the Ministry of Education we represent due to the directions and projects, on which the concrete agreements were obtained:

The Belarusian State University prepared the agreement with German instrument-making company about implementation of microwave components and technologies into measuring equipment for woodworking industry. With one of the German companies was obtained the agreement about promotion of developments and technologies for production of polyurethane foam into the European market. The agreement about preparation of joint projects in the area of synthesis and research of new semi-conductor nanostructure systems with leading German universities was signed. The agreement about cooperation between European Space agency and Belarusian State University in the area of Mossbauer spectroscopy by conduction of space researches (program BipiColombo and ExoMars) was obtained.

The Mogilev State Technical University obtained the agreement about delivery of heat proof composite aluminium and cupreous metals consignment with some companies from Germany and Switzerland. In the near future the question about preparation of joint project on this development will be worked with German specialists. With Indian firm were conducted the preliminary negotiations about creation of joint enterprise for production of heat proof composite materials.

The Belarusian National Technical University worked with one of the German firms the plan of joint researches in the area of hardening of item's surfaces and their finish machining. The plan of cooperation for hardening of hydrocylinders of drilling rigs between a company from Switzerland and Belarusian State University of Transport was adjusted.

The Polotsk State University had negotiations about promotion of developments in the area of new construction materials and coatings. It was achieved the agreement about working of joint scientific-technical project of coatings with nanosized phases between Center of material research in Rheinbach and Institute of new materials in Saarbrucken. There were conducted the negotiations with Dutch firm about creation of joint enterprise of detail's hardening of agro-industrial application.

The Belarusian State University of Transport obtained the agreement with the Compressor plant from Tomsk about purchasing of equipment for production of modified rubber-technical items. Some firms showed the interest to the items with diamond-like coatings. As the result it was decided, that it is necessary to work concrete proposals from German and Indian companies.

The Grodno State University came to agreement about specification of delivery conditions of sealing and jointing nanocomposite materials for one company from Estonia and some Russian companies.

The enterprise "Metolit" of the Belarusian National Technical University prepared the pilot batch of casting filters and modifiers for a firm from Turkey, which specializes on casting production. One of the Japanese companies showed the considerable interest to the technologies in the area of processing of industrial and domestic wastes and work of the Center of technological transfer in this direction.

The Interuniversity Center of Marketing (ICMSRW) signed the agreement with Kaunas regional innovation center and Juelich research center about preparation of joint project in the area of integration of information resources and marketing researches. It was obtained the agreement with one of the innovation relay-centers from Germany about preparation and introduction of the project in the area of building technologies into the 6 Framework of European Commission. ICMSRW achieved also agreement about support of work organization of the German-Belarusian contact seminar on topic: "Engineering of surfaces", which was conducted by the Association "Otto von Guericke" (AiF) (see part "Information" on icm.by). It was worked the plan of researches of German market of devices for laser surgery and therapy of the Belarusian State University.
