At the Russian Scientific-industrial Forum "United Russia", which took place from 10 till 15 September, 2003 in Nizhni Novgorod, participated more than 1700 people. They were representatives of federal ministries and offices, Russian and foreign organizations from 59 regions and 15 countries.

There were shown the collective expositions of 17 subjects of Russian Federation on the Forum. The biggest upon them were the following: expositions from Moscow, Udmurt republic, Penza, Moscow, Ryazan, Samara, Ivanovo, Kaluga regions, Republic of Marie-El; branch expositions - Ministry of Industry and Science from Russia, joint company "Gazprom". For the first time at the work of the Forum participated such distant regions as Khakasia, Kabardino-Balkariya, Tuva, Buryatiya, Kamchatka, Arkhangelsk region and others.

The exposition of the Republic of Belarus was placed in the hall 4.

From the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus three separate expositions were shown: Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, as well as joint exposition. There were shown the exhibits from the Grodno State University, Vitebsk State Technological University, Polotsk State University, Belarusian-Russian University, Gomel State University, Belarusian State University of Transport, Gomel State Technical University and scientific-technological park "Metolit" at BNTU.

In the framework of the Forum was signed an agreement between Government of Nizhniy Novgorod region and the Republic of Belarus.

The feature of this exhibition is representative couple of visitors - at the level of management and main specialists. As a whole in exhibits of universities of the Ministry of Education have interested more than 100 enterprises from different regions of Russia.

We select those theme directions, the exhibits on which used the greatest interest (It concerns only the joint exposition). These were materials finishing processing techniques and heating elements (park "Metolit" at BNTU), deposition of coatings by different technological methods (BelSUT, park "Metolit" at BNTU, PSU), polymer tribo-technical materials (GrSU, BelSUT), heat resisting copper structural materials (BRU), technology of industrial and domestic waste's processing (PSU, park "Metolit" at BNTU).

Let's put one of the most vivid example as it is necessary to work on the exhibition. During the Forum event the production-line tests of current-carrying tips on Gorkiy Automobile Plant (copper heat resisting structural materials of the Belarusian-Russian University) were conducted. By results of tests the positive concluding about increase of tips stability in 4,3 times was received. At the moment the activity on a conclusion of a treaty on their delivery on joint company "GAS" is carried out.

As a whole participation of delegacy of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus at the Russia Scientific-industrial Forum "United Russia" can be considered as successful one. A lot of negotiations about cooperation and delivery of technological production were conducted.

With allowance of the fact, that the Forum "United Russia" in Nizhni Novgorod became traditional event and is more and more important with time, the further participation at it of delegacy of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is expediently.
