15-18 of February, 2005 in Moscow took place the fifth Salon on Innovations and Investment.
The delegation from the Republic of Belarus took part in it. At the exhibition the collective stand of the Committee of Science and Technologies was represented. There were demonstrated also developments of representatives of the Ministry of Education.
The program of the Salon was traditional: the exhibition itself with the competitive program and various seminars and "round tables".

Results of the discussion events:
Seminars and "round tables" were of a great interest. There different aspects of formation and development of national innovation system of Russia were considered. The comparison and analysis of this information with similar processes taking place in Belarus, is useful at development of development strategy of Interuniversity center of marketing (ICMSRW) and transfer centers of technology at universities. Among the carried out events we shall emphasis the following: conference "Innovation resources of Russia and CIS-countries", round table " Infrastructure development of innovation business", seminar "Intellectual property for innovations: right protection and use".
At the conference "Innovation resources of Russia and CIS-countries" a report from the Republic of Belarus has made the director of the Belarusian Innovation Fund A.P.Grishanovich. His report was accompanied with a presentation made by ICMSRW.
In report of Russian participants we shall note the following points:
- During development of innovation infrastructure of Russia the analytical divisions will be more and more required, those which can analyse in complex and deeply state of innovations in the certain segments of the market. There are created now such information-analytical centers on 6 directions of the priority state development, as well as a center on development of innovation infrastructure.
- Transfer centers of technologies (TCT) may not miss from a view organization of selling of scientific-technical production. It can be not the main function of a TCT, but in conditions of deficiency of the subjects of innovation infrastructure in Russia it should be represented.
- A problem is the realization of deep marketing researches on innovation production and accordingly weak development of such services.
At the round table "Infrastructure development of innovation business" the following questions were discussed:
- How to help to sell what was invented yesterday?
- How to help to produce what was thought up today?
- How to help to determine what the market will need tomorrow?
- How to develop the innovation infrastructure?
At the seminar on intellectual property there was confirmed once again, innovations and investment began there, where the objects of intellectual property had been created and protected, i.e. any innovation should begin with patent research.
