On 15-18 of September, 2004, in Zakopane (Poland) took place the International seminar "Scientific-technical information in the Central and Eastern Europe". The delegacy of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus took part in this seminar.

The theme of of the seminar was the evaluation of information potential as a basis for integration of information resources .

As beforehand it was planned preparation of joint project in this field, the reports has corresponded the central topic of the seminar. In discussion of this question took part the representatives of the following countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Belarus.

After the reports the working group of the representatives from the listed countries has developed and considered the trial variant of the joint project. This project was made in its last variant after conducting additional consulting and transferred by e-mail to the European Commission on 22 of September.

It should be noticed, that the seminar has passed on high level from the organizational and professional point of view, in a friendly situation. It has shown that the European countries are a big family really.
