Purpose and area of application

Manufacture of protective housing of cardan gear, friction units of cardan drives of automobile, agricultural and special machinery with increased service life.

Know-how f eatures

The material on the base of aliphatic polyamides modified by dispersed filling agents for manufacture of composite coating of splined joint is developed. The developed coating has a stable adhesion to metal surfaces without special primer application and is a perfect alternative to Rilsan coating.

The composite material with increased stability to cracking under load on the base of polyolefines modified by thermoelastoplastics and dispersed functional additives is developed. It is applied for protective housing of cardan gears.

The composite material on the base of polyamide-6 modified by carbon or glass fibres in combination with ultra dispersed filling agents is applied for thrust washer of universal joint.

Operating characteristics of composite materials

  For splined joint coatings:

  • Tensile strength, MPa, not less than 80
  • Adhesion strength to steel without underlayer (flaking method at angle 1800 ), MPa, not less than 1,0
  • Friction coefficient, no more than
    • without lubrication  0,15
    • with lubrication by mineral oil 0,08

For protective housings of cardan gears:

  • Tensile strength, MPa not less than  50
  • Stability to cracking under load, h, not less than  70
  • Frost resistance, 0 C, not less than  -40

For loaded friction units:

  • Tensile strength, MPa, not less than 150
  • Compresive strength, MPa, not less than 180
  • Friction coefficient with lubrication, no more than  0,1
  • Thermostability after Vika, 0C not less than 150
