Purpose and area of application

High chromium cast iron (HCCI) is used as material for machine elements which require the combination of high impact strength, high wear resistance and good workability.

Field of application:
  • high-loaded details of building and finishing machines;
  • blades of shot-casting machines;
  • saddles of valves in diesel combustion engines;
  • milling of grinding mills silicate and cement industry;
  • changeable details of tillage engineering;

Features of technology
  • modification with complex modifier agent with the purpose of trans-crystallization liquidation;
  • cleaning regime for decrease of hardness up to 30HRC before mechanical processing;
  • regimes of heat treatment with the purpose of required hardness obtaining (50-65HRC) and structure (austenite or martensite);

Main advantages
  • increase of safe life of the parts work in 2-5 times in comparison with steel;
  • capability of mechanical processing of details;
  • broad range of structure regulation of metallic basis (austenite, martensite and products of their decay);
  • uniformity of wear.
