Purpose and area of application
Cartographical information visualizer is intended for creation of GIS-oriented systems for various branches of the national economy. Is is offered to use it as a cheap alternative for expensive commercial GIS (ARCVIEW, ARCINFO and so on). Visualizer has some essential advantages of such systems – low cost and high speed of creation full-featured GIS, adapted for all user’s needs.
The program can be used for effective handling and data analysis in the different branches:
- for creating and storing the information about current state of the forests;
- for estimation ecological state of territory;
- for analysis human impact on ecological state;
- for modelling and forecasting of the states of environment.
The program allows to operate natural systems with using of the developed models of functioning on the basis of the saved information, placed in a specialized database and with using of GIS technologies.
Technical characteristics
- native support of the lage windows bitmap files. Program works directly with file on disk, storing in memory only displayed appearance of the picture. It allow process very lage images with minimal expenditure of memory;
- support programmable and customizable colored reports for storing, editing or printing;
- support almost unlimited count of thematical layers and graphical objects;
- many databases formates support, visualization data in such databases;
- any types of visualizing calculated information (sitiation maps, graphs, tables).
Visuzlizer use native format of storing and presentation of the digital information with support of attributive information.
The information, generated by program and with use the program, can be exported in various commertial GIS exchange formates:
- format MIF of the popular GIS MAPINFO;
- full support 2D-subset of ArcView SHP (import and export).
The program allow to work with distributed databases, can be used as digital information viewer in any informational system. Program was writed on the base of software components and can be easy modified on the source code level. Component model allow fast adaptation for any user needs.
