Purpose and area of application

The automation system of spectral analyses ASSA is intended for automation of spectral measurements, development of research techniques, realization of series analyses, processing of the obtained data and report preparation.

The system ASSA is a recording, processing and storage system for spectral information structurally independent of a signal source. It includes two functional modules: own interface (input integrating analog-to-digital converter) and software providing different service routines for recording and processing of the spectral data.

Technical opportunities

Analogues of system ASSA (partially) are the chromatographic integrators and system NAS Unichrom. Prototypes of system ASSA are the systems of data processing classified as The Computer Data System (OIML R83 Edition 1990).

The system ASSA is shareable with any analytical device generating a signal within the ASSA conversion range, in particular with any gas or liquid chromatograph, such as domestic systems LHM-8, Biochrom-1, 3700, Color-500, Color-800, Color-3006, Milichrom, and foreign systems Chrom-3, Chrom-5, Agilent Technologies, Carlo, Erba, Gilson, Waters, Beckman, Perkin-Elmer.

The software allows operation of particular equipment via standard interfaces: HPIB, GPIB, LAN, RS232. Connection to the remaining equipment is possible through the own computer interface (ADC ASSA). Various versions of ASSA interface may be differing in the parameters of input signal.

The system can be adapted for recording of any data passing through the standard interfaces. The control of devices via the above-mentioned interfaces is also provided. The system may be extended by drivers of the signal readout and modules for signal visualization and processing, similar to modules for processing spectral, graphic or other data types.

Any IBM compatible computer with OS Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP. Since in processing of spectral information the speed of calculations is directly dependent on the computer capacity, the recommended configuration is PIII, 64Mb RAM or higher.
