Purpose and area of application

Ortho Expert will never be a substitute for a specialist, it is merely designed as an aid for the specialist, i.e. it gives a structured way of examination, it will give suggestions, it can explain features when there is a level of uncertainty and it gives the in-experienced practitioner/doctor a chance to work independently whilst at the same time allowing their supervisor the opportunity to check their results.

The most important thing in orthopedics is the initial diagnosis. If the initial diagnosis is wrong then future steps taken to cure the patient are bound to fail because the treatment will have no effect. If we wish to optimize the flow of work, time wise, financially and quality wise we must start at the root of the flow, i.e. making the correct diagnosis at the outset.
