Purpose and area of application

FANCY DRAW allows to create guilloche and decorative elements. It is used for production of protected papers. Bezier curve is used as a base element of printed protection elements. FANCY DRAW allow the user to edit Bezier curve in direct way by curve standard reference points manipulation. Also Bezier curve can be edited in a numerical way by necessary numerical values input or by appropriate scrollbar manipulation on the object properties window. When initial curves are prepared, they are used for production of complex images.

Technical characteristics

It has a lot of advantages in comparison with analogues:

• final image production technique and initial curve generation are unique; the absence of analogues makes image reproduction extremely difficult; the result is perfect image protection from the fake;
• guilloche element is generated at the basis of bezier curve which form can be arbitrary; thus such element reproduction capability with any other mathematical relationship is excluded;
• the influence of mouse manipulation with initial bezier curve standard reference points on the image generated can be immediately observed, also the object properties window scrollbar manipulation and all other initial curve changes are immediately reflected;
• initial curves and the final complex image is created with the help of minimal number of reference points; thus the final image file size is extremely small; it is especially important during production of hard copies and image correction with other graphic programs;
• grids, borders, rosettes and other standard elements can be created at the base of unique procedures;
• FANCY DRAW contains built-in algorithms of automatic angular elements glueing of the border;
• the “relief image” can be created with the help of any grid or guilloche element; the relief depth defined the raster image;
• treelike image generating structure is evident and has arbitrary depth; mathematical details of image generation are hidden for user; the process of image generation is obvious for nonprofessionals;
• the process of a complex printed protection element creation is simple, it takes much less time in comparison with other graphic tools;
• the hardware requirement is moderate due to unique initial image construction algorithms; the image refresh time is imperceptible. Therefore FANCY DRAW does not require fast-response special equipment.
  
  The final image can be saved in an own compact format (*.fan) or Adobe Illustrator (AI) format. It is possible to correct results of protected element design with other graphics editors before hardcopying. Final image curve contains user entered reference points and their generated copies only. Thus the created files are relatively compact. It makes their displaying, printing, and other processing convenient.
