With the hot gases removing from fuel smelting and heating furnaces, more than 50 % of heat received from a incineration (coke, black oil, gas) is lost. The usage of this heat for a heating of blast (recuperation), warming water, heating of manufacturing rooms etc., is an effective means of reduction of consumption of power, increase of the furnace efficiency and cost reduction of the received production (forgings, castings).


WASTE-HEAT RECYCLING SYSTEM OF THE WASTE GASES FOR SMELTING FURNACES (FOR CUPOLA FURNACES)

The system of the waste gases utilization for smelting furnaces (for cupola furnaces), designed by the specialists of the enterprise "Technolit" together with the specialists of the Gomel State Technical University, includes the two-stage recuperator (built-in radiation and remote convective), water heater, system of an aspiration and clearing (smoke exhausters, cyclone collectors the precipitants and devices of thin clearing), instruments (is provided with the control of a furnace charge level, control of temperature in furnace, control of the consumption and with an air-blast temperature, operation control of a unit of afterburning).

The offered system provides a heating of blast up to 500-5500C, that allows to lower a coke rate on 20-30 of % or to increase smelt temperature on output on (120-150)0C. Besides of this, the built-in feed water heater provides the obtaining of 1-1,5 m3 hot water (85-90)0C per 1 ton of a furnace production rate, and the two-stage system allows essentially to lower emissions of dust, CO, SO2, NO and other detrimental substances and to improve ecological parameters of a smelting unit.

The capital costs on manufacturing and mounting of a system are about 25-30 thousand USD for a cupola furnace by productivity (10-15) t/h. Thus the computational annual economic benefit will be 100 thousand USD at annual 2000 hours of a cupola furnace, and coke rate of 150 kg/t, without taking of effect from heating of water, decrease of emissions in an atmosphere and improvement of the quality of cast iron.

The system can serve one cupola furnace, as well as a block from two and three furnaces.

THE INSTALLATION OF HEAT RECYCLING FOR HEATING AND THERMAL FURNACES

The installation of heat recycling for heating and thermal furnaces includes the convective recuperator, made by the way of autonomous block-packages of tubes, set directly above furnace, and feed water heater installed above the recuperator, equipment, ensuring automatic monitoring and control of a temperature condition of a furnace.

The offered installation provides reduction of propellant consumption (gas) on (25-30) %, increase efficiency of the furnaces (up to 40-45 %), improvement of working conditions and ecological situation in a workshop, stability of a technological mode of heating of half-finished products.
