Assigning and area of application
The commutator was designed on the basis of new principal of the spark discharge formation for the ignition systems in the cars.
The commutator forms spark's burst (instead of one spark) and ensures the control of drive's speeds so, that with reduction of speed the quantity of sparks increases. It allows to raise discharge energy and its duration, to provide more complete combustion of fuel at all engine power settings. At the same time the burning rate of composite fuel is increased. As a result the content of CO in spent gases is reduced, increase of the drive's capacity and its profitability take place.

Two versions of an item were designed. The commutator MK-K works with contact ignition systems, and MK-X works with non-contact ignition systems (sensor of Hall).
The commutators are established on automobiles of any class (VAZ, Moskvich, ZAZ, GAZ, ZIL and other, equipped internal-combustion engine of a carburetor type).

The commutator passed the qualification tests and corresponds to GOST 3940-84. In its technical characteristics it doesn't yield to the foreign analogues (BOSCH, HITACHI, NISSAN).
Advantages
- reduction of CO content per 20-40%;
- usage of A-76 petrol instead of AI-92 petrol without additional padding; improvement of initiation of combustion;
- raise of life time of the ignition system. As applied to the contact ignition system the current of the breaker points is reduced up to 150 mA. It protects them from burning. The commutator is reliable at work, doesn't require any construction changes of the motor and ignition system.
In comparison with commercial commutator N3672.3734, the proposed one allows:
- to reduce the consumption current from 6 A up to 1,5 A;
- to raise power of discharge in 2-3 times;
- to work with bobbin of any construction;
- to reduce quantity of component parts from 25 up to 12 items.
