Purpose and area of application

The technological alarm and protective shut-down system of VGS 2105 type is an autonomous unit, providing bidirectional data exchange between the PC system block of the KDK “Lukoml-2001” and elements of alarm, protective shut-down and controls of block boards of turbo machinery control.

Main technical characteristics

Functionality

  • Indication of the vibro-control system state (vibro-control on/off) and operation mode of the vibro-control system (protective automation on/off);
  • Monitoring of the vibration control system of “Lukoml-2001” type, namely the program of the stand-by stationary vibration control is operated / interrupted;
  • On/off control of the panel transparency of the board signaling according to the controlling codes, arriving from the PC and reflecting various conditions of the turbo machinery.
  • Reading and transmission to the PC of the contact group condition of the board control means, reflecting various turbo machinery operating modes and the vibration control system operation mode.

System of connections

  • Connection to a PC (system block) is carried out through the RS22 interface either to COM1 or to COM2 port. The connection interface presupposes galvanic isolation of the computer and VGS 2105 device. The connection cable length is up to 15 meters.
  • Connection to the board signaling and protective shut-down means is carried out by clamping junctions “under screw” by the conductor steams of the following purpose:

    In the direction “to the board” 10 control signals for indication and other functions are supported:
    • Warning level 4.5 mm/s;
    • Warning level 7.1 mm/s;
    • Emergency level 11.2 mm/s;
    • Low-frequency vibration;
    • Abrupt vibration change;
    • Vibration control ON;
    • Vibration control system failure;
    • Protection automatics ON;
    • Protective shut-down of the turbo machinery;
    • Bell alarm ON;
    In the direction “from the board” 8 control signals for following purpose are operated:
    • Indication control;
    • Clear the alarm;
    • Regular vibration control ON;
    • Protection automatics ON;
    • Clear Bell for 4.5 mm/s;
    • Clear Bell for 7.1 mm/s;
    • Automatic control of A operation condition;
    • Automatic control of B operation condition.
