Purpose and area of application

The technology is used for production of protective corrosion-resistant, strong coatings with decorative coloring like a "gold", "bronze", "brass".

Possible applications:

production of accessories for:
  • clothes
  • footwear
  • furniture
  • haberdashery
 Protective decorative finishing of:
  • rooms
  • sanitary engineering
  • devices
  • machine tools
  • automobiles etc.

Technical characteristics of coatings

  • fineness (size of grains depends on coloring coatings and is from tens nanometer up to 200 nm)
  • density packing of grains, absence of pores
  • depth of the colored layer from 0,2-0,3 µm up to 2,5 µm (depending on color of a coating)
  • depth of a sublayer of cuprum (by necessity to deposit it) from 6 till 10-15 µm
  • wear resistance and corrosion resistance is at a level of a nitidous nickel and higher
  • wide range of received color of coatings (like a "GOLD", "BRONZE", "BRASS", "RED", "PINK" etc.
  • high reproducibility of coating's color and its stability at storage of items

Operating characteristics of solutions

  • stability of electrolytes of copperplating and finish machining
  • room temperatures of working solutions
  • ecological safety of solutions (there are no cyanidum-ions and organic components, dangerous for environment)

    • Advantages

    • reproducibility of given coating's color, their monocolority
    • decrease of operation's number, costs of transactions and consumption of materials in 1,5-2 times
    • usual equipment for plating plants
    • doesn't need heating and stirring of solutions
    • absence of toxic and ecological dangerous materials
    • variation of a range of coating's colors with usage of the same solution
    • deposition of a coating can be implemented on items of different chemical nature: metals, alloys, dielectrics

    The technology is implemented on the Minsk experimental furniture plant
