Purpose and field of application

The endoprosthesis of joints of hand (Pashuk’s endoprosthesis) and tool for the installation are intended for operating treatment of diseases and consequences of traumas of joints of hand with the purpose of recovery of their propulsion functions. The design of endoprostheses and tools is designed together with the specialists of Minsk of urban surgery center of a hand both employees of state of traumatology and orthopedics of the Belarusian State Medical University.

The construction

The endoprosthesis is a metal construction, which consists of proximal part, distal part and axes. The design of an endoprosthesis provides reliable fixation of its parts in medullar valves, rotation stability, secondary fixation at the expense of a germination of an osteal tissue, simplicity of assembly and disassembly in endoprostheses making.

The endoprostheses are produced from a bioconformant material, which meets to the international standard ISO 5832/1. Six type sizes of an endoprosthesis, selected it is ground anatomical and X-ray inspections, provide individuality at an implantation depending on a condition and size of an injured joint. The sizes of endoprostheses are listed in table.

The tool kit for the installation of an endoprosthesis actuates: templates - scrapers, impactors and extractors. The specification of tools is listed in table.
The endoprostheses and the tools are registered by the Ministry of Health and are solved to application in the Republic of Belarus - number of state registration: Mn-7.3197-0111 from 26.12.2002.

The templates - scrapers are intended for formation of medullar channel cutting edges with simultaneous injection of pulp from work piece ranges through two long slots. There is a personal complete set of templates - shabers for each type size of endoprosthesis.

The impactors are intended for the installation of distal and proximal parts of endoprosthesis in medullar channels.

The extractors allow for to set and to extract the axis of an endoprosthesis.
