Purpose

The tracking of defensive bands, localization and extinguishing of fires in forest, fire protection of timber and materials on its basis

Application

  • warning of fires originating
  • localization and extinguishing of fires
  • preventive processing of other fire dangerous objects
  • extinguishing of materials, prone to smouldering and reignition

    • Physical-chemical parameters:

    appearance

    paste (from white till grey color)
    density of 10 % solution at 20 °C, g/cm 3

    1,2–1,25

    concentration index of hydrogen ions (pH) of 10 % solution

Exploitation characteristics of fire extinguishing of composition:

  • this composition does not contain toxic and ecological dangerous materials, has low corrosion activity (at level of tap water)
  • saves service properties during a long term of storage (not less than three years)
  • working concentration of composition - 10-12 %
  • consumption on fire protection and/or extinguishing of 1 m2 of wood burning materials - 1,5-1,8 l
  • group of fire-protective efficiency of structure at surface processing of timber - 1
  • atmosphere resistance of fire-protective composition, no more than 44 mm

    • Advantages:

  • low cost
  • high atmosphere resistance
  • decrease of probability of distribution of radioactive by-products of combustion with wind flows at fires in wood massifs contaminated by radionuclides
  • after application of the composition the reignition of burning materials is eliminated as a result of cupping of the residual locuses of smouldering
  • absence of detrimental effect of the composition for man, forest bio- and geocenosis

    • Implementation:

    The production technology of fire extinguishing composition is implemented on enterprises of chemical profile of the Republic Belarus, and tests of fire extinguishing efficiency of composition are conducted on the actual fireplaces of forest fires.
