Research Institute of Physical-Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University
Address: 14, Leningradskaya str.,220050 Minsk,
Republic of Belarus

Technical specifications: TS RB 100050710.054-02

Purpose

The concentrate is used for cold amorphous phosphate treatment of a surface of steels by the method of sputtering or immersion before spraying of varnish-paint and powder coatings. It is recommended for processing of metal surfaces exploited in mild climatic conditions

Application

  • mechanical engineering
  • instrument-making industry
  • Characteristics of PhP-3 and phosphate coating on its basis:

    State

Transparent or a little cloudy liquid

    Density at 20 °C, g/sm 3

    1,15-1,25

    Concentration, g/l

    24-30

Total acidity in arbitrary units, "points"

    9-13,5

Free acidity in arbitrary units, "points"

    1,5-4,5

    Working temperature, °C

    15-25

    Time of phosphating, min

    5-10

    Mass of coatings, g/m 2

    0,26-0,85

Corrosion resistance (probe of Akimov), sec

    60-80

    Requirements of safety

The concetrate is a hazardous substance of the dangerous class 3 of Standard 12.1.007. It is necessary to work in rubber gloves, eye protectors, respirators, protective costumes.

    Storage

  • at temperature not less then 10 °Ñ in the foreseen by technical conditions container in the closed view
  • warranty period of starage – 1 year since day of production
  • Advantages of PhP-3:

    • power resources on heating of bath of phosphate treatment are not demanded
    • cost price in 1,5 times is reduced in comparison with known foreign analogues
    • stability of concentrate during storage and phosphate treatment
    • simplicity of implementation and equipment
    • consumption of a sprayed coating in comparison with crystal phosphate films is reduced
    Implementation

The technology was implemented on joint stock company «Pulverservice» (Minsk), joint stock company «Bel-For» (Dzerdzinsk).

    Forms of cooperation

Concluding of agreements on production of concentrate
