Purpose and area of application

The heaters are designed for heating of extruder cases, moulds, vessels, pipes/nozzles, shells etc.

Technical characteristics

1. Design
- maximal power density ....... 3,8 W/cm2;
- maximal temperature ..................... 400 °C;
- heating element: nichrome (20%Cr-80%Ni) wire or tape coiled over a mica resin core;
- insulation: mica resin;
- case material: plain low-carbon steel (0.08%C) or 18%Cr-10%Ni-1%Ti stainless steel;
- tightened by tie-bars.

2. Type of design
One-piece;
Two semi-rings;
Tri-part (designed for three-phase power supply).
