Patent of the Republic of Belarus N 4998
Purpose: We propose a new technology of hermetic sealing by the method of compacting of flange and flangelike conduit joints, stop valve, valves, dampers, covers, hatches, inspection openings, compactings in pumps, slide-valves and also filling of serial bearings and other products, that work under the conditions of high temperatures, pressure and aggressive media. Our graphite compactings (rings and gaskets of various forms and configurations) can be produced without any the binding agents, thus, providing chemical and thermal stability.

Application fields:
- chemical industry
- pulp and paper industry
- oil refining manufactures
- thermal and nuclear stations
- power plants, etc.
Advantages of the graphite materials:
- increased life of the equipment due to excluded corrosive wear of the metal parts
- no damage to the sealing surfaces
- not subject to aging
- preserved elasticity and flexibility during cyclic temperature changes
- low gas permeability
- reduced required pressure at the compression of glands and flanges
- less static voltage on the equipment due to high electroconductivity
- reduced necessity for braces and technical care during the exploitation
- ecologically safe relative to the cancerogenic materials (e.g., asbestos).

Implementation:
The experimental-industrial series of parts have been produced at the plant of GGP "Stesmol" (Grodno, Belarus). Currently, we are about to implement the industrial scale output at the plant of the Joint-Stock Company "Energotechprom-2" (Minsk, Belarus).
Forms of cooperation:
We see various ways of collaboration from the joint research projects to selling the developed know-how and implementation of the proposed technological process at the Customers’ facilities. We also consider possible to produce small lots of graphite parts in accordance with the technical requirements of a Customer
