Purpose:

The technology is applied for production of ecologically safe fuel for diesel drives from the rape (renewable raw material source).

Area of application:

Transport, biofuel (bio-diesel) can be used in all types of diesel drives.

Characteristics of the biofuel:

  • represents a mixture of methyl ethers of highest fatty acids (over 90% are ethers of oleic, linoleic and palmitic acids)
  • viscous fluid of light-yellow color
  • it is easily dissolved into the non-polar and chlorinated organic solvents
  • it is dissolved into a water a bit
  •  Physico-chemical parameters of the biofuel:

      cetane number not less, than 47
      cinematic viscosity at 20°C, mm2/c 7,1
      solidification temperature, °C up to -38
      cloud temperature, °C up to - 5
      flash temperature in the closed crucible, °C not less than 138
      heating value, kJ/kg -39670
      concentration of resins, mg per 100 sm3 of fuel up to 39,5

    Advantages:

  • usage of renewable raw material (rape) for production of the main component
  • production of valuable attendant products: solid fuel, cake for production of forages, technical soap, glycerin
  • a little manufacturing water
  • absence of polluting gas waste
  • production technology of biofuel is material- and resource-saving
  • Implementation:

    the joint-stock company "Novoelnianski meghraiagrosnab" (Grodno region) is set up a new industrial production with power of 2000 t/year
