Purpose and area of application The proposed methods of formation and cutting tools can be applied at machine-building and instrument-making factories for high-efficiency processing details with profile and discontinuous surfaces, such as many-sided shafts, cams and ratchets, inductors etc.

- increase of formation accuracy due to continuous process of dividing;
- increase of processing productivity in 3-4 times;
- expansion of technological opportunities of standard gear-spline-hobbing machine.

- multi-purpose gear-spline-hobbing or special machine;
- production tools;
- special cutting tool.
Features of technology The proposed technology is based on overlapping of formation processes and dividing at cinematic profiling of treated surfaces. Due to this depending on parameters of the machine adjustment and used tool the opportunity to process wide listed products with high accuracy of formation is provided. It is applied to processing of discontinuous surfaces at the end of details.
Patent protection This development is protected by patents of the Republic of Belarus.

Implementation This development is realized on multi-purpose gear-spline-hobbing machine of the model BC-50 and special machines of models BC50-9601 and BC30P-9253 manufactured by Vitebsk Machine-tool Plant "VISTAN" (Republic of Belarus). Manufacture of machines and tools was implementation. The developed technology is realized at the Minsk Automobile Plant (Belarus) and Kanash Automodular Plant (Russia).
Proposals
- designing machines and tools with reference to a customer’s requirements;
- manufacturing of machines and means of their technological equipment for realization of technology of concrete details treatment;
- modernization of universal machines for realization of the proposed technologies.
