ELECTROFILTER FOR TRAPPING OF INDUSTRIAL DUST

Purpose and area of application

The electrofilter is used for cleaning of air or other neutral gas from any industrial dust with concentration up to 40 g/m3 and it can be installed both indoors and outdoors. This electrofilter can be used for air cleaning at enterprises of ferroconcrete items, wood-processing industry etc. (for cleaning of air from fine-dyspersated dust: up to 1 µm and lower).

Advantages

in comparison with the most widespread hose suction filter (SMC -166) the proposed electro-filter has:

  • high degree of cleaning - 98,5 % against 95 % (dust-priming was reduced in over 3 times);
  • low working costs (electrofilter is not become clogged with dust as in it there is no filtering material, and regeneration is made automatically by shock-hammer shaker);
  • low power inputs per unit of treated gas (0,2 kWt*h on 1000 m3 of gas against 0,4 kWt*h);
  • possibilities of cleaning of practically any powder-gas flows independent on moisture and specific electrical resistance of hard phase.

Construction

The electrofilter consists of three units: chambers for precipitation of dust, high-voltage power supply and shaker unit. The chamber for precipitation of dust represents a package from six rectangular airway section 0,2*1,2 m and length of active zone - 2,2 m. Inside each of six sections is located the corona-forming electrode, to which the high voltage is brought. Regeneration of the filter is carried out automatically by shock-hammer shaker.

Implementation

  • pre-production model of the electrofilter intended for trapping of cement dust was made and maintained on  "Novopolotskghelezobeton" plant;
  • laboratory electrofilter with productivity of 1000 m3/h was made for demonstration and educational purposes.

Proposals

  • drawings of details and units;
  • technical help at manufacturing and starting-up and adjustment works;
  • manufacturing the electrofilter within one year from the moment of financing;
  • follow-on at operation;
  • joint production and realizations of electrofilters.
