Purpose and area of application
The automobile electronic balance (further called as balance) is intended for static weighing of automobiles.
Design of the balance
Balance consists of the following basic parts:
1. Receptacle, which includes:
- receptable platform;
- strain-gauges sensors;
- uniting block.
2. Discrete measuring indicator.
Into a receptacle platform are mounted the strain-gauges of force of rod type. They are installed on the concrete bases in special bearings providing perception of axial loading only. For prevention of influence of radial loading in a mechanical design of balance a mounting of unloading tractions is provided.
The principle of balance work is based on transformation of deformation of the strain-gauges of force into analogue electric signal, which is transformed further into the digital form in discrete reading device.
The serial interface provides data transfer about measured mass on external devices (PC).
The front-face surface of the discrete reading devices is closed by a cover with the help of four screws.
Technical possibilities
Balance carry out the following functions:
- weighing with a selection of packing mass;
- accumulation of results of several weighing;
- viewing a accumulated sum;
- transfer of information on a serial channel with external PC.
Technical characteristics Class of accuracy in accordance with standards 29329-92 is mean (III).
