Purpose and area of application

   The laboratory of physical and chemical methods of investigations of BSTU applies the following kinds of chromatography and spectrometry to carry out research:

- High Performance Liquid Chromatography;

- High Performance Liquid Chromatography with Mass-Spectrometry;

- Gas Chromatography.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Directions of research: 
-Investigations of processes in organic synthesis by HPLC;
-Chromatographic investigations of biologically active substances;
-Development of techniques of the analysis for identification of pesticides and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons;
-Qualitative and quantitative analysis components in pharmaceutical production;
-Identification of nucleic acids components (nucleotides, nucleosides, nitrogen based) in mixes.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography with Mass-Spectrometry 

Directions of research: 
-Investigations of processes in organic synthesis by HPLC mass-spectrometry;
-Identification of micro quantities of toxic impurity;
-Development of techniques of the analysis for a wide range of organic compounds;
-Qualitative and quantitative analysis components in pharmaceutical production;
-Determination of vitamins in food additives and food-stuffs.

Gas Chromatography

Directions of research:
-Determination of volatile organic compounds in different objects of the environment;
-Investigation of the composition of gas exhausts and sewage of industrial enterprises;
-Determination of volatile organic combinations in food-stuffs and compounds pharmaceutical production;
-Investigation of biotransformation and biodegradation processes of pesticides;
-Determination of non-volatile acids (citric, lactic, etc.) in various objects;
