Purpose and area of application

   The laboratory of physical and chemical methods of investigations of BSTU applies the following kinds of X-ray analyses  to carry out research:

- X-ray phase analysis;
- X-ray fluorescent analysis;

X-ray phase analysis

Directions of research: 
-solid-state physics, X-ray crystallography of inorganic and organic materials;
-technological control of phase composition of initial, intermediate and end-products;
-non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, material science, mechanical engineering;
-cement and ceramic industries;

X-ray fluorescent analysis

Directions of research:
- metallurgy: the analysis of metals and alloys composition;
- mechanical engineering: express analysis of structure and mark of a material;
- analysis of products of chemical manufacture in solid, powder and liquid conditions;
- ecology, agriculture and the food-processing industry: definition of the contents of heavy metals in foodstuff, water, soils, forages;
