Purpose and area of application

At the Belarusian State University of Transport the specialized container for the power module (mobile modular boiler-house – MMB) has been designed.

MMB is intended for usage as a temporary source of heat on a closed heat supply system of different objects for the period of emergency failure of a constant heat source. It is a block-container, inside of which a basic and additional boiler equipment with pipelines and lock, safety, control, measurement devices, system of automatic control, supply, protection and signal system have been mounted. MMB is supplied with all communication for independent usage of heat device as power module in emergencies for heat supply of dwelling, public and industrial buildings with absolute pressure in system of 0,6 MPa.

Container description

The container is an all-metal construction with two hatches in a roof for mounting and dismounting of boilers and hatch for installation of chimney. In the construction two face doors are foreseen, one of which is two-folding for mounting and dismounting of additional equipment, two wickets for attendants, five windows for natural illumination, as well as two ventilating hatches on lateral walls. The container with heat device can be transported to the place of work by railway, auto-mobile and river transport. For the customer there can be developed containers of different sizes and purposes.

Approbation of development

MMB has proved its operational reliability through the work in Grodno area, where it has been delivered by railway transportation in container. MMB has been mounted during one day and smoothly worked all cold season before starting of stationary boiler-house.
