Purpose and area of application

     The model of the geological medium of Gomel territory was created. It allows estimating the state and predicting changes of engineering-geological conditions of separate sites and territory as a whole.

     Scopes of the given model are:

• optimization of designing zones of perspective building;
• forecasting changes of engineering-geological conditions under influence of various kinds of man-caused loadings and determine a complex of actions for maintenance of necessary reliability of operation of constructions;
• disclosing the problem places of built up territories requiring for prime carrying out of actions on strengthening of operational reliability of engineering constructions, and development of these actions;
• determination of the main reasons of deformations of engineering constructions on the base of analysis of change of engineering-geological situation at building and exploitation of constructions.

Forms of cooperation

- carrying out scientific research in this field,
- rendering engineering services:
     - on adaptation of developing model of geological medium of Gomel to the tasks of consumers;
     - on development of constantly working models of geological medium of city agglomerations, large constructions and industrial zones of Belarus and other countries, estimation of the state and forecasting of change of engineering-geological conditions of territories and zones.
