Purpose and area of application

The developed technology is intended for formation of carbide and diamond-like films on WCo hard alloys. It is based on the combined influence on hard alloy of laser radiation and ion plasma.

Area of application is a tool industry.

Technical characteristics

Micro-hardness of WCo alloy with a coating, GPa	95
Content of a diamond-like phase in a coating, %	до 85
Increase of service durability of matrixes for synthesis of artificial diamonds, %	20–30

Advantage

Wear resistance of the diamond tool increases in 1,5-3 times.
