Purpose and area of application

   The developed technology and equipment allow to carry out the mechanized removal bitumen of ruberoid roofing carpet from reconstructed coverings on buildings and constructions with the subsequent crushing formed roofing waste into a powder and its classification on fractions.

   Area of application: public utilities, building organizations.

Description of technology

   The bitumen roofing waste cut as plates load into a grinder and crush into a powder in a dry kind. The grinder can work both in mobile mode (on a roof of a building), and in stationary one (workshop of the centralized processing of waste). After crushing the produced non-uniform powder is classified on 2 tier sieves on fractions of 0.075-5 mm; 5-10 mm and are larger then 10 mm.

The used equipment

Device for cutting of a rolled roofing carpet is intended for the mechanized cutting as plates old ruberoid roof, with its piling. It is served by one operator.

  • productivity of the device up to 700 m\h,
  • size of the cut plates in the plan up to 300õ300 mm,
  • depth of a cut seam up to 60 mm,
  • power of the electric motor 3 kWt,
  • weight up to 60 kg.

Grinder of bitumen roofing waste is intended for crushing the cut plates and served by two operators.

  • volume of a grinder drum - 0.3 m3,
  • productivity up to 2 t in 8 h,
  • power of the electric motor 7 kWt,
  • weight over 600 kg.

Vibroshaker for screening of powder bitumen is intended for classification of the produced powder on fractions. The produced mixes on the base of powders from roofing bitumen waste meet the requirements of the standards.  

   The manufacturing of equipment for processing bitumen roofing waste into powder is mastered in Bereza city at the plant "Theplopribor".
