Purpose and area of application

There was developed the heat-insulated and sound-proof material on the base of silicon dioxide. This porous material can be produced as sheets, which lateral surfaces are covered with aluminum foil, by fiber glass or basalt fiber. Due to a foil the effect of "thermos" is realized.

The material can be used for:

• light multilayered frame constructions;
• warming walls of buildings;
• heat and sound insulation of floor, garret floors, concrete ceilings, basements;
• decorative furnish of ceilings (false ceilings);
• heat and sound insulation, fire-prevention protection internal frame constructions;
• warming steam-, water- and pipelines;
• heat isolation of refrigerating chambers, different kinds of technological and household furnaces and other thermal equipment of industrial and household assignment.

Features of the technology

The technology of production of inorganic ecologically safe incombustible heat-isolating material (gravel or plate) on the base of silicon dioxide (powder of of silicon dioxide, waste products of chemical and metallurgical manufacture), includes production of a mix from powder like silicon dioxide and silicate glass, its formation, boiling during heat treatment at 400 ° C and cooling of a porous product.
