Purpose and area of application

   Slip-rings are used as friction pairs of end seals for oil and water pumps. They can be also used as radial and axial sleeve bearings in machine-building and instrument-making in conditions of poor lubricating qualities of an operating medium.

Technical characteristics

  • Friction coefficient - 0,03-0,06
  • Increase of friction pair life time - up to 10 thousand hours and more
  • Optimal temperature - 60-80 oC

Features

   For high wear-resistance, heat-stability, durability and reliability of friction units the composite powder materials are used, which are applied on a operating surface. During the friction on a contact surface the protecting film from structural constituting of a material as a result of its dissolution will form.
   This film provides a positive gradient of mechanical characteristics in the material of friction pair and a wear-less condition of friction. The wear-resistant composites were received. The way of applying of wear-resistant layers to details contact surfaces was worked out. Optimal compositions mixtures including tungsten carbide, copper, nickel, cobalt and other elements were determined.
