Summary
On the basis of original tooling web-system of automation of learning distance processes Gomel State University has started doing the project “Distance learning in Belarus” (Distance Learning Belarus - DLB): http:/dl.gsu.unibel.by At present there have been registered move than 3000 users from 39 countries. DLB maintains the multi-language interface with a user (now the English and the Russian languages are provided) and operates by “24*7” standard, i.e. 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Description
Using WEB-site or E-mail the contemporary learning distance systems permit to choose the course of studies read the theory and control tasks and then on studying the theory to fulfill the tasks and to send back their solutions. The simple multiple-choice test control is used: there is given a series of questions from which a correct option from a set of some possibilities is to be chosen or the correct option is to be set with the following checking on “Exact” agreement. Later on the lecturers of the courses have to run a check manually providing solutions receiving, their checking, sending the results to a learner, sending the results to a learner, summing up and analyzing the statistic results.
In addition DLB system permits to automate the processes of checking received solutions, sending them to a learner, accumulating the results and analyzing the training (teaching) process with the help of SQL-technologies. Interface of connection of solution checking programmes is unified and this makes it possible to use our distance learning system effectively for any subject area.

Examples of usage
at the present moment the automatic checking can be provided for:
- programmes for PC with the use of the following programming languages: Pascal, C/C +, Assembler, Perl, Basic
- solving chess tasks
- numerical systems projects (VHDL, HLCCAD)
- programmes assembler for microcontrollers of Intel, Atmel, Motorola, Microchip and Texas Instruments tested in the simulation systems

Features
The replacement of the programme checked by a man in the chain of the automation data processing is possible. Thus reading texts, viewing drawings, listening to answers and watching video with the aim of “analyzing the work and putting a mark by a man” are provided. All other operations on receiving solutions, registering marks and comments in the checking results to a learner are executed automatically.
