Application

This technological process is applied at the enterprises and shops which process industrial and household waste products.

Technological process features

  • raw material for processing:
    • leather waste (LW): shreds of a skin, fats, fur and Cr2O3,
    • iron-containing waste (ICW) containing not less than 50 % of ferric oxide: scale, chips, steel and iron casting slag and used catalysts;
  • slag and catalysts are preliminary milled;
  • scale, chip and slag are used without being preliminary briquetted;
The processing of wastes includes:
  • drying of wastes;
  • pyrolysis of LW;
  • charge preparation from LW and ICW;
  • synthesis of ferrochromium;
  • separation of ferrochromium and slag;

Advantages
  • formation of biogas at processing of organic component of wastes;
  • forming biogas can be used as a substitute of natural gas;
  • ecological purity of toxic ferrous wastes processing;
  • ecological conditions become better as a result of liquidation of WLI dumping polygons;
  • low cost of raw for ferrochromium production;
  • synthesized ferrochromium is a product conforming all requirements of metallur-gical industry;
  • unbound slag is used in road building and by production of building materials.
